Our 2008 course started in September. We usually run one course a year in the autumn, but please contact our Alpha Administrator Alan to find out if we have plans to run additional courses.
Our courses usually run for 10 weeks plus an away-day. For our evening course, each session starts with a meal at 7.45pm followed by a talk lasting 20-25 minutes covering the key issues relating to the Christian faith including:

We aim to be jargon-free and down-to-earth as well as thought-provoking.
Following the talk we break into small discussion groups; these groups are what many people say they find the most valuable times of the whole Alpha course. They provide a space to ask questions, express opinions and to discuss the topic of the day. They also give an opportunity to make friends and to bounce ideas around in a relaxed non-threatening environment; ask anything - no question is too simple or hostile. You won't be expected to agree with everything that's said, but there should be more than enough to get people talking!
We aim to finish around 9.45pm.
We also usually hold an away-day where we spend a little longer discussing:
We sometimes run a weekend breakfast course. If this would suit you better than the more traditional evening course, then please let us know.
